Ycs UV Solder Mask Transparent
The YCS UV Solder Mask Transparent is
a quick-drying, UV-cured adhesive used to insulate and protect printed circuit board (PCB) traces during repair, particularly on mobile phone motherboards. It is specifically designed to dry in approximately three seconds when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light.
Product features
Insulation and protection: The transparent solder mask insulates PCB traces to prevent short circuits, corrosion, and damage from moisture. This is especially useful for repairing fine-pitch circuits and protecting tiny components.
Quick-drying formula: The 3S (3-second) formula allows for a rapid cure time when exposed to a UV curing lamp, speeding up repair and rework processes.
Transparency: The transparent color allows technicians to see the underlying circuit board and track repairs, which is important for precise work.
Application: It is often dispensed from a syringe, allowing for controlled, precise application to specific areas of a circuit board.
Versatile use: Besides insulating, the adhesive can also be used for fixing jumping wires and holding down components during rework.
How to use
For best results, you will need a UV light source to cure the solder mask. A UV lamp or torch is recommended, and some advanced techniques combine UV light with hot air for an even faster and more robust cure.
Prepare the surface: Ensure the area to be repaired is completely clean and free of flux residue, dust, and moisture. You can use isopropyl alcohol to clean the PCB.
Apply the mask: Dispense a small amount of the
YCS UV Solder Mask
over the area you want to protect. A thin, even coat is ideal.
Cure with UV light: Expose the mask to a UV lamp for a few seconds. The mask will solidify and harden quickly.
Confirm the cure: The mask is fully cured when it is no longer tacky. For a more robust cure, you can apply UV light again, or follow curing instructions specific to your UV lamp and technique.
