The YCS Multi-Model 2D Torque Screwdriver is a precision toolset for mobile phone maintenance that features a pre-tensioned torque system. It is designed to prevent damage to sensitive internal components by automatically disengaging or "idling" once the appropriate torque has been applied.

Key features

  • 2D torque system: Unlike adjustable torque drivers where you set a specific value, the "2D" system has a fixed, pre-set torque that prevents overtightening, making it safer and easier to use for beginners. The screwdriver's built-in mechanism disengages when the fixed torque is reached, signaling that you should stop applying force.

  • Multi-model compatibility: The toolset includes a variety of magnetic bits to fit different types of screws used in mobile devices. Common bit types include Phillips, Pentalobe (for iPhones), Tri-wing, and Torx.

  • High-quality materials: The bits are typically made from S2 alloy steel, known for its hardness and durability, while the handles are made from an anti-slip metal alloy for a comfortable and secure grip.

  • Ergonomic design: The handle includes a 360° rotating tail cap that allows for smooth, one-handed operation and precise control when applying torque.

  • Magnetic tip: The magnetic precision heads hold onto small screws, preventing them from being dropped and lost during repair.

How it works

The

YCS 2D screwdriver

's main purpose is to tighten screws securely without the risk of stripping the screw head or damaging the delicate components underneath.

  1. Select the correct bit: Choose the appropriate bit for the screw you are working with and insert it into the handle.

  2. Start turning: Begin tightening the screw by turning the handle. The screwdriver operates like a normal precision screwdriver during this initial phase.

  3. Automatically "idles": Once the screw reaches the designated torque and is seated correctly, the internal torque system engages. The screwdriver's head will idle or spin freely, preventing you from over-tightening.

  4. Stop turning: As soon as you feel or hear the idling mechanism engage, stop applying force to avoid stripping the screw head or damaging the hardware.
